In February 2015 I had to make a difficult decision in placing my grandmother in some type of assisted living facility. I reviewed several choices and landed on Collier Park. They offered many different activities during the weekday, also they assist with driving residents to church, doctor appointments and Wal Mart if needed. Collier Park is always clean and neat, and presentable at all times. Their dinning area is first class with service and great meals. As for as the staffing they are always helpful and acted in a very professional matter. Jamie, Angie and Pam are outstanding people. When my grandmother had questions are concerns they made her feel right at home. They always kept me inform of any situations that would arise. In the final stages they worked we me to provide the best possible care that anyone could ask for.

I knew the moment I walked through the door and met the staff, that this would be the home where my Dad could live, interact and have the care level he needed. With an abundance of activities from church, wine tastings, games and a library in the town hall and parties on the holidays - everyone is kept busy. The staff are like family. They always seem to pop up at the exact moment for whatever need needs to be met; whether it be for directions, medical - even the front receptionists - family. Apartment is attractive and easy to manage. All apartments have a view of the grounds. There is a choice of sizes and floor plans (subject to availability). We had Dad in a 1 bedroom. It held all the comforts of home. As his needs lessened, we moved him to the assisted side, a large studio. This fits him perfect. It's easy for him to maneuver and easy to keep clean and still have his own familiar furnishings. Anytime we make a move in life, we take the good with the bad. Dad's experience at Collier Park has all be been positive. His Doctor visits him in house. He has an exercise class that he goes to. His meals are in a beautiful dining room; good, healthful, appetizing selection. Even though he is on the assisted side now, he still has the feeling of independence with the close personal attention he needs at times. I think the amenities that the residents enjoy the most are the staff - from the hugs from Helen in the dining room, the smiles from all, the ones who come by at activity and meal time, Pam with health questions, and Kori and Stephanie at the front reception area - all treat you like family. The staff in the office - Jamie, Thessa, Steven, Angie - family.

overalll our 5 plus years at Collier Park have been positive. My mother has lived in independent living the majority of this time with private unlicensed sitters. Until recently when her needs became greater we moved her to assisted living. For us there is little to no use of the amentities offered in the way of transportation, crafts, entertainment, exercise, etc. but I see residents participating and enjoying. Regarding staff, the support staff in the residential areas are always so nice and respectful of the residents. Treating them with dignity and compassion which is most important to me for my mother. Office staff is my hardest to deal with...they are hard to make contact with, often phone calls go to voice mail, voice mails go unanswered, many times it takes me two or three times calling back to get my issues discussed. Also I feel like there should be a UPS, FedEx drop off at the office. This used to be in place but seems like most recently told no we aren't doing that. Why would we want strange UPS drivers and FedEx drivers walking around the resident halls... The facility has been updated and looks nice and clean, the rooms are nice and very roomy. Nice to see the updates as it makes the fact that the price goes up every single year by $200 a little less hard to take. Its hard when on a fixed income the resident just keeps being charged more and more.. Overall my mother is safe, clean, and in her mind content as well as being treated with dignity in these hard years. That is at the end of the day all I pray for. Collier Park provides me with that peace of mind.
